Me Me

Are you a people-pleasing coach or business owner?

Do you feel obliged to say ‘yes’ to every discount request from clients? Let’s see what we can do about it.

Listen to this blog post:

Do you feel obliged to say ‘yes’ to every discount request from your audience? 😄

I was there when I was new in my business.

If you had asked me for discounts back then, you are lucky because I almost always gave away 20% discounts to people who asked for it ;)

I rarely do that anymore, though.

As the years pass, you just become comfortable with your work, your prices and you can politely say ‘no’ to price discount requests which do not feel aligned and not over worry about your income.

If you are curious to see if you are a people-pleasing business owner, you can listen to my new podcast episode.

It’s ok if you can identify with the 4 signs I talked about.

We are at different stages of life and some of us can overcome fear in a snap, whereas some of us need mindset work for that.

I will also introduce a simple exercise and one powerful word you can use to rewrite your people-pleasing beliefs.

If you want to see the video version which I recorded at my dining table with no fancy setup whatsoever, you can watch the video version here. 😄

That’s all for today.

Take care, blessings and may you enjoy abundance today.

FREE creative goal setting coaching tool to help your clients set aligned and achievable goals

If you want to help your clients set meaningful goals which align with their values, you will love this 5-step technique!

For goals to actually work, they have to be aligned with your clients’ personal values and conjure up excitement within them.

Because of that, I have created a goal-setting model which helps your clients set goals which are:

  1. Super specific

  2. Positive oriented

  3. Aligned with their personal values

You can download this free goal-setting coaching tool below and use it as a lead magnet to get more subscribers. You can even use this coaching tool during your 1-1 or group coaching sessions.

I call this model the SPADE goal-setting coaching technique.

  • Stands for ‘set specific goals’.

  • P is for 'positive oriented’. You may want to encourage your clients to set goals which focus on going somewhere positive. For example, instead of setting goals to avoid ‘being broke’, your clients can be encouraged to set goals to ‘make more income and enjoy more freedom’. Can you feel the difference in energy in both goals? :)

  • A is for ‘aligned with your values’

  • D is for ‘divide your goals into bite-sized daily actions’. Your clients’ goals can be divided into small daily habits which bring them closer to those goals

  • E is for ‘experience your goals with your senses’. Visualisation helps to make your clients’ goals seem real, believable and energetically attract them into their reality

I’ve created this technique with the aim in mind to ensure that the goals set by your clients are aligned and achievable for them.

You can get more goal setting coaching techniques in my brandable, done-for-you goals achieving masterclass.

You may want to create a course or masterclass in future but I know that coaches can get too busy with client work.

Coaches, create your own 'perfect' day with these 5 questions

Coaches, I’m sharing 5 questions which can help you create your own version of a ‘perfect’ day.

What does a ‘perfect’ day look like for you?

Maybe you like to start your day getting spiritual and meditative. Or you may like getting active and going for a run.

I believe it’s helpful to have a rough outline of what our perfect day looks like :)

So that we can align every day to match our vision of a perfect day as much as possible.

This gives us some control over our days and our lives.

And focusing on what we can control is one way to drastically prevent feelings of anxiety and stress.

This is what you can teach and share with your audience using this done-for-you masterclass which you can launch ASAP.

90 slides, a script and accompanying workbook all done for you.

Here are 5 questions you can reflect on, if you wish to draft your own version of a ‘perfect’ day.

  1. On your perfect day, how would you start your day?

  2. What will you accomplish?

  3. How would you feel throughout the day?

  4. What is ONE activity you can do every day to move your day closer to being ‘perfect’?

  5. On your perfect day, how would you end your day?

I like questions 1 and 5, because starting and ending our days on a good note are crucial to be at our peak performance.

You can share this concept with your audience in-depth with materials from my done-for-you masterclass :)

You can repurpose this masterclass as

  • Content for group coaching

  • Content for your paid membership

  • Content for 1-1 coaching

I hope this has been helpful for you!

Let me know if you have questions.

Blessings always and take care,

Shikah

Me Me

Irritated by something? It may be serving you, Coaches.

Coaches, we can shift our perspective and see how minor irritations help us in our day-to-day lives.

I was in deep work mode last weekend, furiously writing captions for coaches, thinking and researching in a frenzy.

I left my 5-year-old to watch TV and all of a sudden, she sighed and said to me : “Mum, the TV stopped working. And I’m hungry!”

I felt a burst of irritation.

When I’m consumed with work and being productive, interruptions irritate me a lot.

But I purchased a course from a ‘work with your flow’ expert recently and she said this:

“Interruptions are meant to serve you. It’s the Universe’s (or God's / Higher Power's) way of telling you to change your activity for some reason.”

So I took a deep breath, fixed the TV error and made a snack for my 5-year-old.

The interruption did help me.

It gave me a break because I was so engulfed in my work that I lost perspective.

And….the interruption gave me inspiration to write this post ;)

  • So, if you are working at a cafe and the aircon starts feeling too cold and uncomfortable, it may be a sign for you to leave the cafe (for some reason) or stop working (and take a break for your own good).

  • If you are catching up with a friend over lunch and you start getting irritated with the noisy table next to you, maybe it’s a sign to get up and chat whilst having a walk in a nearby park as it will do you both good.

  • If you have been staring at your laptop screen for hours and your eyes start hurting, it may be a sign to stop for a while (or even stop for the day for your own benefit).

Your reflection question for today:

What has irritated you recently and served you?

What I’m working on this week:

Finishing up 30 authority-building captions for coaches. The theme will be mental and emotional resilience.

Here is a sample of one of the captions. I will launch this in mid-January.

What I think will help you this week:

If you want to inspire your audience this new year, you can conduct an overcome negative self-talk masterclass using my done-for-you slides and script.

Blessings and Happy New Year to you,

Shikah
