Free Coaching Tool: Overcome ‘All or Nothing’ Thinking worksheet

I’ve created a free editable worksheet which helps your followers + coaching clients overcome anxious thoughts. This worksheet helps overcome all or nothing thinking and lower their anxiety by questioning their anxious thoughts.

I’ve created a free editable worksheet which helps your followers + coaching clients overcome anxious thoughts. This worksheet helps overcome all or nothing thinking and lower their anxiety by questioning their anxious thoughts.

all-or-nothing-thinking-worksheet.png

All or nothing thinking gives rise to anxiety because it places a high standard on yourself and others. This done-for-you coaching tool will help to relax perfectionistic thoughts and lower anxious feelings.

You know what’s cool? You can edit and brand this free coaching tool in Canva. Use it as a free lead magnet or during your coaching calls!

If you want to get more subscribers or sell a 27-page Overcome Anxiety coaching workbook to your followers, you will want to check out my Overcome Anxiety Guide (editable in Canva too).

How do I use the Overcome All-or-Nothing Thinking Tool?

This tool will pinpoint the exact all-or-nothing thoughts that your clients or prospects have. They may have more than 1 prominent all-or-nothing thought in their minds at any one time.

Your client will also be asked to think where their black-and-white thinking comes from.

Did it come about because they grew up with high expectations from their family members?

It is interesting to observe that people with all-or-nothing thinking can be harsh with themselves and have unrealistic standards.

Even if they have reached a goal, they can discount their own efforts and claim that the goal was ‘too easy’ or that they were ‘lucky’.

How to reframe all-or-nothing thinking to lower anxiety

This practice takes time. Whenever your client has an all-or-nothing thought, challenge them to change the thought to be more ‘balanced’.

The important thing is, to make sure that they feel RELIEVED with this new ‘balanced’ thought.

Eg: “If I eat a few bites of that chocolate cake today, my diet is not completely ruined. I may not be eating 100% healthy this week, but I’m eating healthy 80% of the time.”

Another alternative is to get your client (or prospect) to imagine what their trusted friend/loved one would say to them if they voiced out their all-or-nothing thought.

Eg: “What do you think your friend Lena would say if you told her that:  You are afraid your business income will drop this month if you took a break today?”

You can also encourage your clients to write down evidence which prove their all-or-nothing thoughts wrong. This is a powerful tactic because there is black-and-white proof that their extreme thoughts can be wrong.

My last thoughts on this ‘all-or-nothing’ thinking worksheet

This all-or-nothing thinking worksheet is free and you can edit it in Canva. Use it as a lead magnet to get more subscribers or use during coaching.

If you want to sell a fully-designed Overcome Anxiety Workbook to your followers and clients, check my (editable) Overcome Anxiety Guide.

You can add your logo, change the fonts and text if you wish, or swap the images to suit your brand. Make it truly yours!

My purpose is to help coaches like you make a difference to the world fast.

I wish you all the best!

Take care.

Tell your client to set a timer for 3 minutes and write ALL of her strengths, skills, positive traits continuously. This works because the time limit pressure means that most of her answers will be uncensored and come from her subconscious mind.

After this exercise is done, get your client to read what she has written. How does she feel knowing she has all of the strengths written on it?

By right, she should feel at least 10% more confident than before she started.

This is a powerful and effective free tool to uncover one’s positive traits and talents even if you’ve only met your client for the first time!

As a coach, you can also work on this exercise to give yourself a dose of confidence during times when you need it most :)

There are many other self-esteem tools to help your clients boost self-worth if you suspect they have self-esteem issues.

You can also Google online for such tools - there are tons out there. But if you want to grow your business fast, getting my editable workbook is like taking a load off your shoulders :)

(Free Coaching Tool) How to Teach Clients to Overcome Fear and Self Doubt with an Exploring Strengths Worksheet

I’m sharing a FREE ‘exploring strengths worksheet’ to help your clients overcome fear and self doubt. This personal strengths assessment worksheet will boost feelings of self worth. Also, this identifying strengths worksheet will remind them of their skills and talents. It’s free for you to download and use with your clients!

I’ll share some strategies to help you teach your coaching clients to overcome fear and self-doubt so they feel brave enough to start pursuing their goals and dreams.

Strategy #1 to Overcome Fear and Self Doubt: Being Aware of Their Unique, Quirky Strengths

Every quirk or little talent that your coaching client has, can be a strength.

It requires some re-framing on their part. For example, if she thinks that being able to comfort other people is a weak or ‘useless’ talent to have, we can show examples of people out there who have made a living out of comforting others.

A talent can be expressed in many indirect ways too. In writing, in video form, in creative form (painting, creating worksheets), face-to-face and more.

An example: I know a lady who is talented in making people feel good. Instead of becoming a counselor or coach, she makes people feel good by offering good and comforting facials.

Here, she uses her talent - she can intuitively predict what her clients need - and offer value added services to cater to what they want.

Every little talent or strength your client has, can be expanded to create a BIG difference. It takes some out-of-the-box thinking and creativity.

To help your clients be aware of their strengths, you can download the My Skills + Strengths Bingo exploring strengths worksheet below.

This strength exploration worksheet lists 25 common positive traits which will help them discover their strengths in a fun way.

This worksheet is free + unbranded and you can use it with your clients.

This My Skills + Strengths Bingo exploring strengths worksheet is part of my editable 11 Self Esteem Tools bundle.

You can purchase the brandable self esteem bundle, edit in Canva and sell it to your clients or use it during coaching.

Strategy #2 to Overcome Fear and Self Doubt: Pinpoint Their Self-Doubt Triggers

Does your client start feeling ‘small’ and have self-doubt when doing certain activities?

Some women feel inferior and feel lousy about themselves when they walk past luxury stores or surf luxury shopping websites like Net-a-Porter.

Some women’s self-doubt will be triggered when they watch Instagram Stories of well-off influencers flaunting their carefree lifestyles or displaying their handbag collections.

Get your client to identify 3-5 activities which trigger her self-doubt.

I hate to sound extreme, but encouraging your clients to cut out these ‘triggers’ from their lives can give them the peace of mind they need.

Strategy #3 to Overcome Fear and Self Doubt: Encourage Your Clients to Try New Strategies and be Okay with Mistakes

Successful people make more mistakes than the average person.

Many of us have the mentality that mistakes break us or push us away from our goals.

Actually, making mistakes as we move towards our goals, brings us closer to achieving them. Because when we make mistakes, we find out what works and what doesn’t.

So encourage your clients to keep trying new things, new approaches and new ways of doing things. They will flop along the way, BUT they will discover gems too.

If you have clients who are fearful of trying new things, you can read this blog post to encourage them not to care what other people think and live their purpose.

My last words on overcoming fear and self doubt…

The root cause of self-doubt is low self-esteem. And the habit of constantly comparing themselves to other people.

It helps them when we point out that even the people they admire have their own unique struggles and problems.

In fact, some influential people may face even more serious mental health and relationship issues than we do.

Help your clients to focus on their own strengths. They may not be good at public speaking (yet), but they may be good at writing. They may be shy in front of the camera, but they may be good at video editing. You get the idea!

You can download the ‘My Skills + Strengths’ tool below to remind your clients of their positive traits and boost their self-worth.

I hope this article helps somehow. Meanwhile, have a good week!
