How to run a vision board workshop for coaches (with free vision board coaching tool)
I will share a free vision board workshop outline and as well as a Start Creating Your Vision Board Today coaching tool which you can use as a lead magnet to grow your coaching list.
“Creating vision boards is such an ‘airy-fairy’ topic,” my brain whispered.
I was scouring the Internet for topics to create my next done-for-you workshop.
Well, sometimes our thoughts are not facts.
Because I came across 3 successful coaches who have conducted vision board workshops before. So clearly, vision boards are not airy-fairy after all.
Successful Coach #1 started her 6-figure coaching business holding in-person vision board workshops
Successful Coach #2 has a 7-figure business and launched her own vision board training called Vision Board Alchemy months ago. (just Google for it!)
Successful Coach #3 also started her business with vision board classes (I can’t remember the exact details though)
Well, if these superstar coaches are holding vision board workshops, that means there is a HUGE demand for it.
If you want a shortcut to grow your mailing list, you can download my mini-ebook called “Start creating a vision board today : 4 Must-Have Categories for a vision board which works” and use it as a lead magnet for your coaching website.
Step #1. Have a clear outline for your vision board workshop to organise your thoughts
Creating masterclasses and courses starts with sketching out the outlines and then filling in the details and information.
How many ‘lessons’ do you wish to have in your vision board workshop?
Roughly, how many slides do you want to dedicate per lesson?
Are you going to have a group activity per lesson?
If you are not sure what to include in your vision board workshop, you can use my suggested workshop outline as a reference.
The workshop outline below is from my done-for-you vision board workshop which you can sell to your audience. It has 80 value-packed slides, an accompanying workbook and a script all done for you using my research and counselling experience :)
Suggested Vision Board Workshop outline for you :
Introducing yourself as a coach and your background or life experience to build credibility amongst your participants
Explaining why we need vision boards and how it helps us to achieve our goals faster
Summarising the concepts that you will be teaching in the workshop
Lesson 1 : How does a vision board help us create our dream life?
Lesson 2 : How to overcome low self-worth and an undeserving mindset so as to set authentic goals
Lesson 3 : Inviting and activating an abundance mindset
Lesson 4 : Your authentic goals, dreams and desires - 4 essential must-have categories for your vision board
Lesson 5 : Creating your own vision board using my 5-Step process
Lesson 6 : How to use powerful inspired action to make your vision board goals a reality
Recap the concepts you have taught
Gracefully promote another program or higher-ticket offer to your audience.
End the presentation with asking your participants to leave a review, asking participants to email you with suggestions to improve the workshop, asking them to follow you on your social media or getting them to share their favourite sections of the workshop.
Step #2 : Decide on the 4 (or 5) must-have essential categories for an effective vision board
Every coach has a different opinion on the categories which are needed to create a vision board which works.
Having well-defined categories is very helpful because your clients get to focus on ‘succeeding’ in only the most important aspects of life.
Instead of trying to chase 50 goals on their vision board, having well-defined categories helps them narrow their focus + energy down to working on, say, only 20 of their top most essential goals.
If you want my suggested 4 must-have categories to create an authentic vision board for success, you can download my Canva-editable mini-ebook “Start creating a vision board today : 4 Must-Have Categories for a vision board which works”
As a coach, you can use this mini-ebook as a lead magnet to get more people to sign up for your mailing list.
Just key in your name and I will send this editable mini-ebook to your email address.
Step #3. Address mindset blocks which may prevent your participants from setting exciting goals
Some participants may have low self-worth or a scarcity mindset which hinders them from setting exciting vision board goals.
Setting exciting goals is important. Excitement is a natural motivator which pulls us to work on our goals and visions.
In the done-for-you vision board workshop, I included slides addressing low self-worth issues and mindset issues regarding abundance.
Helping your participants slowly chip away at their low self-worth and lack mindset will excite them to design a life which works for them.
I know it takes months of research, writing and designing to create a high-quality workshop.
That is why I have created a done-for-you Vision Board workshop which you can launch and sell ASAP :)
You will get
80 Canva slides full of information which are editable to suit your audience’s needs
An accompanying workbook which you can brand with your business name and edit in Canva to make it uniquely yours
A fully-done script to ensure that your vision board workshop runs smoothly

Overcoming Procrastination as a Business Owner and Coach
If you've caught yourself procrastinating on business-related tasks recently, I will share tips to help you handle procrastination and be more productive as a business owner.

If you catch yourself procrastinating yet again on a business task, I get you.
I am currently procrastinating but instead of letting the day go to ‘waste’, I’ve decided to record this podcast episode.
Hi, I’m Shikah, I used to be a counsellor and now I create done-for-you life coaching workshops and workbooks which you can use with your coaching clients.
Today, as you can guess, I’m going to share some strategies which help you to overcome procrastination and be more productive as a business owner.
One sure-fire way to overcome procrastination is to do - what I call - The ‘10 Minute Rule’.
You basically tell yourself that you are going to work on a particular task for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you are going to check in with yourself and find out if you still want to continue or stop.
There is a very high chance that you will want to continue with this task after 10 minutes. That is because your mind and body are already in ‘work’ mode. Hence, continuing with this task feels easier and more manageable.
And psychologically, once you’ve started something and ‘in the groove’ of it all, you will want to continue because it feels good to be productive and moving towards your goals.
Another way to handle procrastination as a business owner is to go with the flow.
If you have planned to write one chapter of your book today but you feel a mental block about it, it’s alright to change plans quickly.
If you feel the inspiration to record a podcast episode today, instead of writing your book like you planned, do it.
It is better to be productive in one area of your business instead of forcing yourself to stick to your plans when your heart and mind are not in it.
You may not finish writing a chapter today as planned, but at least, you have published a podcast episode. As business owners, it can be very rewarding to work with the flow. When you are working with the flow, your projects get done very fast and you feel very energised.
I like to be practical and suggest that you don’t procrastinate or put off important projects for too long. If you notice that you have been procrastinating for weeks to write a chapter of your book, you may need to do an honest reflection with yourself.
This honest reflection exercise helps tackle procrastination by pinpointing exactly what is causing it.
When we procrastinate, we are usually avoiding something. It can be a negative emotion such as stress, overwhelm or fear.
The first thing we can do is to be honest with yourself and ask why you are procrastinating on a particular task.
As an example, right now, I am supposed to create a new done-for-you vision board masterclass which coaches can conduct with clients. I was planning to write 10 slides today, but I didn’t do it.
As I was reflecting, I know that I procrastinate to avoid feelings of extreme stress. For me, personally, creating done-for-you masterclasses is very stressful. I need to do in depth research, I need to apply my knowledge, I need to write a lot, I need to make sure that the content I create is high quality and I want to give my best. So, the whole process can be very stressful.
For you, you can do the same reflecting exercise to find out why you are avoiding a certain task. Once you find out the reason you are procrastinating something, you can strategise a way to do that task with less stress.
Maybe you can outsource that task to someone else. Maybe you can change your work environment or work in a cafe to make the task less unpleasant.
You can also choose to let go of perfectionism if perfectionism is causing you to procrastinate on something. Being aware of the reasons for our procrastination as a business owner can be a powerful thing.
One habit I’ve been doing to reduce procrastination is to ‘design’ my dream week, every single week.
Every Sunday, I will sit down and type down the things I want to do the following week which will make the week as pleasant and as productive as possible.
I literally designed my dream week in words. You can choose to write or type the activities out. I use Google Docs to ‘design’ my dream week every Sunday.
For work-life balance, I will usually type 5 work-related tasks I want to accomplish the following week and also 3 leisure and fun self care activities I want to do in the week too. Work-life balance is important for us business owners, so let’s remember to plan our fun self care activities every week too.
If you are a coach and you want to launch an overcome procrastination masterclass for your clients, but you are too busy to create a masterclass from scratch, you can get my done-for-you procrastination masterclass.
You will get 80 Canva slides, all ready done for you, an accompanying workbook and also a script so that your masterclass goes smoothly. Thank you for joining me here today. See you in my next episode. Bye!

Overcome Email Writer's Block as a Coach : 5 ways to generate fresh content ideas for your subscribers
I will be sharing 5 strategies to get new and fresh email content ideas so that you can stay consistent with email marketing.
Download your own ‘Am I a People-pleaser'?’ test and use it as a lead magnet to grow your coaching mailing list:
Today, I will be talking about how we can get fresh content ideas for email marketing.
If you have an email list, I am sure you have had days where you are tearing your hair out because you do not know what to email your subscribers that week.
I have completed many email marketing courses and many business coaches recommend emailing your list everyday. Or at least commit to emailing 3 times a week.
To be honest, it is very challenging for me to email everyday. I have a list of about 9000 subscribers right now. Most of them are coaches. And it is difficult for me to think of value-filled emails everyday. So I personally only email about twice a week. That is because I like to email quality content and it takes much time for me to come up with high-quality and helpful content for my audience of coaches.
If you have a team to help you with email marketing, of course, emailing 5 times a week is more achievable for you. But if you are a solopreneur like I am, it takes energy and effort for us to write high-quality emails.
Nevertheless, through my experience, I have observed that there are 5 ways for you to get fresh content ideas for your subscribers so that you can stay consistent with email marketing.
Strategy one is to consume other people’s content.
I’m referring to reading books, listening to audio books, listening to podcasts and watching online courses.
You can get so much insight, ‘aha’ moments and ideas when you consume valuable content everyday. What I recommend you to do is to take note of any useful information that you come across and add your own experience or your own opinions or your observations.
This will give that piece of content a personal touch and makes it unique. Definitely do not copy other people’s content! But take the valuable info from audio books or podcasts and add your own experience and observations to it. Be confident of your own opinions :)
Strategy 2 is to share any observations and changes you have made in yourself.
If you have recently adopted a 6am morning routine and found it helpful, share it with your audience in your emails. If you have recently started exercising in the mornings and notice that it makes you very motivated, share that too.
If you have friends who are very positive-minded, observe how they think, observe how they handle problems and observe what they do to bounce back after a setback. These observations can serve as content in your email newsletters.
I personally like to do my work at cafes and even relax at cafes when I have free time. I will tune in to my surroundings and observe the people around me or I will eavesdrop on some conversations.
Observing people around you can uncover so much insight about human behaviour. All these observations can be content ideas for you.
Strategy number 3 is to re-use your past content.
For me, I like to write fresh content and fresh emails every week. I like writing, observing and sharing, hence it comes relatively easy for me.
However, I understand that not everyone can write fresh content every time they turn on their laptops. I think this strategy works best if you are going on a long vacation and you want to batch-write or write 5 emails and schedule them out.
What you can do, is to look at your courses, your past YouTube videos, your past IG ‘lives’ or even your past emails. You can extract a small section and write emails about it.
I know of mega business gurus who advocate for business owners to re-use their old emails. According to these coaches, people do not remember what you emailed them 6 months ago.
Hence, these business gurus mentioned that it is alright to reuse your old emails. If you are doing this, I would suggest that you change your email subject line at least, and even tweak certain parts of the email before reusing it so that it seems ‘new’.
I am on the email list of some 7-figure coaches and I notice that some of them do reuse their emails. One of these big-name coaches will reuse the same emails whenever she is launching discounts for her courses. She does not even change the email subject lines, so that is how I notice her repeated emails! :D
So if you are in a time-crunch, reusing your old emails is an option for you.
Strategy number 4 is to use email templates.
When I was first starting out in business 3 years ago, I bought a pack of email templates and I used them quite often.
I also subscribed to a $9 per month email marketing membership to constantly get new ideas and new email templates to email my audience. (For full transparency, the two links I share above are affiliate links. )
These were very useful when I was new or when I was desperate for email ideas. I am more confident in writing my own emails now, so I don’t use templates anymore. But I understand that email templates and ideas can be very useful if you are someone who does not like writing or finds writing a chore.
Strategy 5 to stay consistent in email marketing is to create one main piece of content every week.
This main piece of content can be a blog post, a podcast episode or a YouTube video every week. It sounds like a lot of work and it is! If you create one blog post, podcast episode or video every week, you can reuse the content in your emails.
You can write a shortened version of the blog post, podcast or video in your email newsletters.
You can even send a separate email to your subscribers to promote your new podcast episode or blog post and that counts as one email.
If you create one major piece of content every week, it can serve as the main focal point for your email marketing for that week.

Four Mindset Causes of Procrastination in your Coaching Clients

Today, we will be discussing procrastination. We will be exploring why people in general - including ourselves and clients - procrastinate on certain tasks.
Ironically, procrastination has its benefits. That is why it is so hard for us and your clients to stop this habit. It is not an easy habit to overcome because procrastination benefits us in many ways.
Why is it difficult for ourselves and clients to stop procrastinating?
When your clients procrastinate, they get to temporarily escape stress, pressure, fear or some other negative emotion. It makes them feel good right here in the moment.
Obviously, this will backfire because the tasks remain undone, stress can accumulate and get worse. So, this is a temporary feel-good tactic which will create a lot of frustration in future.
Another benefit people get from procrastination is that, they get to avoid conflict. If they want to make a decision which other people may not agree with, they will sit on that decision to avoid arguments or any form of conflict.
Also, sometimes, when we procrastinate, our problems get solved on their own. For example, our colleagues or our loved ones will ‘rescue’ us and help us to finish our tasks. As you can see, procrastination has its benefits and that is why it is so difficult to kick this habit.
The four mindset causes of procrastination in coaching clients
Other than the above benefits, what else can cause your clients to procrastinate on their goals or on certain projects? Well, procrastination can be caused by our mindset and way of thinking. I will be sharing with you 4 mindset causes of procrastination today.
The first mindset cause of procrastination is the classic fear of failure. Your clients are fearful of making mistakes and making the wrong decisions. Some of them are afraid of the external consequences of making mistakes.
They are afraid of disapproval from their family members or disapproval from their boss or coworkers. Some of them feel that making mistakes will tarnish their self-image. They feel that people in their lives will question their abilities and competence if they fail. This intense fear of failure can cause them to want to avoid potential mistakes and hence, they avoid tasks and projects.
The second mental cause of procrastination is perfectionism. If you notice that your clients take a very long time to finish projects or if they obsess over little details which are not very important, they may have a perfectionist streak.
Perfectionists tend to also do a lot of research before making small decisions. For example, let’s say you have a client who wants to launch a side hustle. And you notice that she is taking 3 weeks just to decide on branding colours, or she is taking weeks to decide which platform to host her website. Or you may notice that she is spending weeks doing research on forums, Facebook Groups or watching endless videos just to decide on a business name. These are traits of someone who may be suffering from perfectionism.
As we can see, trying to make the most perfect decision for everything is going to take a long time. Her projects will move very slowly and she will not be very productive. Perfectionism is another mindset cause for procrastination.
The third mindset cause of procrastination can be the lack of self-belief. This happens when they feel overwhelmed about a project. When your clients feel that they do not possess the energy, time or the skills to do a certain project, they may procrastinate on it. That’s because they may experience great inertia just to start on this project.
Sometimes, your clients underestimate their own capabilities because they have low confidence in their abilities. This low self-belief will make it very difficult for them to start the project and stay committed to it.
They may avoid taking new action, they may avoid anything that is slightly challenging because they don’t believe they are capable of it. As a result, projects are not done, or they take too long to be completed. They may even give up half way through the project because it feels too difficult and they do not believe they can do it.
The next mindset cause of procrastination is intense negative focus. For example, let’s say your clients have a goal which they really want to achieve. However, for some reason, they never get started on it.
One possible reason behind this inaction is the intense focus on negative aspects of this goal. If they want to start a new business, for example, they may keep procrastinating because they keep focusing on how difficult it is. They may focus on how difficult it is to do marketing, or focus too much on how difficult it is to be consistent on social media. Focusing too much on the challenging aspects of accomplishing our goals is a surefire way for anyone to procrastinate on them.

Welcome back to another episode of Mindset with Shikah. I'm Shikah and I create done for you coaching tools using my counselling experience.
Today we will be talking about self-loving ways to boost your client’s confidence.
For some reason, when I think of ‘building confidence’ or ‘confidence coaching’’, the first thing that pops in my mind are ‘tough love’ methods.
I grew up hearing words like ‘no pain, no gain’, ‘bulldoze your fear’, ‘push through your fear no matter what’ or other self-punishing ideas like that.
Well, the good news is, building your clients’ confidence and self-worth does not have to involve punishment, self-sacrifice or tears of some sort.
That’s why I created this done-for-you self confidence program. I believe that confidence can be coached through more self-compassionate methods.
Confidence is such an important aspect of our lives, as it allows us to tackle challenges well, pursue our goals, and embrace our authentic selves.
And confidence is a skill that can be learnt. If your audience thrives with a self-compassionate approach to boost confidence, you will find this episode helpful.
I’m going to share a few self-loving coaching methods to boost confidence and ensure your clients feel comfortable in their own skin.
#1. Self acceptance helps with self-confidence. Acceptance means owning both their positive characteristics and less-than-ideal aspects.
For example, instead of punishing themselves for not being a ‘hustler’ who works 24/7, your clients can accept that they have a different working style.
And they can craft schedules which let them thrive within their own working style. Self acceptance, hence, maintains their confidence levels.
#2. Being grateful actually leads to self confidence
Low confidence usually crops up when we have a ‘lack’ mindset. Lack of talent, lack of good looks, lack of motivation - you name it.
If your clients appreciate the talents, skills and experience they have, they can be comfortable in their own skin.
This does not mean they stay complacent.
They can be grateful for their current state AND be works-in-progress at the same time :)
#3. Being mindful actually helps boost self confidence
Mindfulness is probably the last thing you think of when you are coaching confidence. But here, we are referring to being mindful of our thoughts.
Detaching ourselves from our critical thoughts can preserve our self esteem.
I have an exercise in the done for you self confidence program which can help your clients with this.
For example, let’s assume you have a client who has a critical thought similar to this: “I am not good or skilled enough to apply for that job at my dream company.”
They can choose to pause and scan to see which thoughts are causing them to feel inadequate.
They can then detach themselves from the thought by changing their narrative to : “I am having *the thought* that I am not skilled enough to apply for a job at my dream company.”
Being aware that thoughts are not real, helps to prevent dips in confidence.
#4. Another way to boost confidence in a self loving way is to encourage your clients to set achievable, realistic goals.
Setting goals that are slightly challenging but achievable is a great way to boost their confidence.
Start setting small goals and gradually work their way up to bigger goals.
This is helpful because accomplishing even small achievements can prove to themselves that they are capable of success.
And this builds their confidence in themselves.
#5. The next way to coach confidence in a self-loving way is to surround themselves with positive people.
I know one mindset coach who mentioned that ‘Environment trumps mindset’.
What he meant was, the influence of people around us can have a stronger impact on us than our own mindset.
So, the friends we spend time with, have a big impact on our confidence.
Encourage your clients to surround themselves with people who uplift and support them.
We all know building confidence is a lifelong journey. And if you use self-loving methods to boost your clients’ confidence their new found confidence will be strong and last a long time.
