Why would your clients need a self exploration tool?
Self exploration is the first step towards self acceptance and self love. It involves knowing yourself - the good and the not-so-ideal with absolute clarity.
Some of you may be amused and think, “How can anyone not know what they like or do not like? How can anyone not know what values they believe in?”
Some of your audience or coaching clients may need help discovering themselves especially if they grew up in environments where they were highly controlled or told that their likes and dislikes are not ‘right’.
In order to get their parents’ approval, they may abandon their authentic selves and ‘mold’ themselves to be a version which is approved by Mum or Dad.
They grew up confused when making decisions, not even sure what they like or do not like, not trusting their intuition, blindly following other people’s opinions, going against their intuition and basically feeling lost and disempowered. And they may be constantly battling between following their gut and what other people tell them to do.
Needless to say, their self-esteem and self-worth are generally low. They may live lives according to other people’s wants.
The first step to self acceptance and eventually blooming into a more esteemed person is self exploration.
What questions should you ask when coaching self exploration and self acceptance?
Basic, elementary questions such as their favourite colour, favorite movies etc, are a good start for self discovery. We may be quick to pooh-pooh or dismiss these 3rd grade level questions: but some may not even be aware of their everyday preferences!
So what are the 35 self exploration questions included in this Self Exploration Coaching Tool?
What is my favourite food and why?
What is my favourite colour and why?
What is my favourite movie and why?
Who is my celebrity and why do you admire him or her?
What are my top 3 hobbies and why?
What is my favourite book and why?
What is my love language?
What do I think makes me unique?
Who are the people I love?
What do I want to experience in the future and why?
We can explore their past to make them comfortable with these moments which are part of their lives:
What was my hobby as a child and why?
What was my favourite memory growing up and why?
What was I praised or complimented on as a child?
What books and movies did I enjoy back then?
Who were my best friends and why did I like them?
We can go one step deeper and explore their thoughts and opinions:
What are my top 3 values in life and why?
What qualities do I admire in a friend?
What are my top 3 triggers and why?
What is my most embarrassing memory?
If I had no fear, what would I be doing?
What do I like about my work?
What are my proudest achievements?
What do I always daydream or wish for?
What is my biggest regret?
What are 3 things I am very grateful for?
How do I react or express my frustration?
How do I react when I am happy about something?
What are my strengths?
What are my areas for growth?
One negative feedback I’ve received.
What is one thing I keep a secret from most of my friends?
What is the biggest challenge I’ve overcome?
I wish I had done _______________ better.
What advice would I give to a 10-years-younger version of myself?
What is one way I have contributed to the world or my community?
There are no right or wrong answers and all answers are valid.
It’s fine to revisit these questions as time passes because their answers may change with life experience.
Once they’ve answered these questions honestly, affirm them for their being courageous enough to do so. Being vulnerable and coming face to face with the less-than-desirable aspects of our lives needs courage.

Why do we have to encourage our followers to reduce perfectionism? Isn’t it a much desired trait?
Well, perfectionism has its ‘rewards’ and also countless weaknesses. Perfectionists have a fear of failure and tie their self-worth to external factors (such as work).
Many perfectionists cannot accept criticism, they burn out easily and they tend to always be stressed out. They place high standards on themselves and are rarely satisfied with their own achievements.
As you can see, it is a highly stressful way to live. Their progress and success is also slow because they spend too much time obsessing on mistakes and small decisions.
Perfectionists have high standards, and if they welcome mistakes and are happy to take some risks, they can enjoy more achievements and feel happier everyday.

Having a ‘money mindset’ or an abundance mindset is a hot topic these days.
Why? Because our minds create our reality, and many people are waking up to that idea.
You may be a life coach and feel that coaching abundance is not relevant to your audience. Then again, coaching your clients to have an abundant and positive outlook in life is always a good thing!
At worst, your community will experience more inner peace and gratitude everyday.
If you want Abundance Mindset Prompts to use with your clients who need this, you can download it below.
Free Abundance Mindset Coaching Tool to use with your clients
This free Abundance Mindset Tool is brandable in Canva.
It is part of my hotly-requested Abundance Mindset Workbook which has a full set of strategies and tools you can use to kickstart your clients’ abundance journey. Or offer as a high value lead magnet and get more subscribers to sell to, in future.
Let’s get to the 4-step basics of coaching abundance.
Step #1 Identify your clients’ persistent money blocks
Many of us have a couple of limiting beliefs when it comes to money and wealth.
It can range from ‘I can only earn money if I work hard’ to ‘Rich people are manipulative’. Beliefs like these block abundance from flowing easily into our lives.
Question your clients. Ask them to write down at least 3 negative beliefs they have around money and wealth.
In the Abundance Mindset Workbook, I have a list of 9 of the most common money blocks which they can identify with - if nothing comes to your clients’ minds.
Step 2. Identify where your coaching clients’ money blocks come from (to help them feel empowered)
This is an eye-opening step because it makes your clients become an observer of their thoughts instead of becoming a victim of their negative money beliefs.
What’s the difference?
When your clients notice that their negative thought patterns come from Mum or their close friends, they can question those beliefs.
Remind your clients that other people’s beliefs are not your clients’ reality.
Mum’s beliefs came from her own personal experiences growing up. Another example: I’ll bet a million dollars that my money beliefs are way different from Paris Hilton’s money beliefs. Because we grew up in different circumstances.
This will jolt your clients into realising that their negative beliefs are NOT the ultimate truth after all. Money CAN come easily. God, or The Universe, CAN bless you with abundance without having to sacrifice too much.
This step trains your clients to observe their thoughts.
This will help them to Step 3: creating NEW empowering thoughts around money.
If you need a free brandable abundance mindset coaching tool for your clients, you can grab a copy below.
Step 3: Create NEW empowering thoughts to see welcome more money opportunities
What NEW money beliefs will make your clients feel empowered, hopeful and expansive?
For every NEW empowering money belief they choose, back it with evidence that it is true.
For example:
New Abundance Belief (which makes them feel expansive): “Money comes to me even when I’m relaxing and enjoying life.”
Evidence that this new belief is TRUE: “I realised that I got good sales in my side hustle business even during my off days. When I relaxed with my friends last month, sales were still coming in.”
Step 4: How to Coach your Clients to match the Frequency of Abundance
In my Abundance Mindset Workbook, I laid down journal prompts and practical actions which can help your clients manifest abundance fast.
I will also share bonus steps which are not found in the workbook.
To match the frequency of money - or an upgraded version of yourself - you have to act and feel as though you have already made it.
Let’s say your client has a goal of making $5000 per month on her side hustle business. She has to feel and act as though she has already achieved it.
Some suggested activities for your clients to get into the frequency of abundance are:
Journal every day (for 21 days) as though she has already attained her $5000/month goal
OR write a long, heartfelt journal entry as though she has reached her goal and read it every day (for 21 days). Some clients may prefer to record their entry on their phones and listen to it everyday instead.
Make a shopping list of what she will do with the $5000 she will receive every month. (Eg: Savings: $2000. Organic groceries: $600. Beautiful clothes from The Outnet: $300...and the list goes on. The more specific the items on the list, the more realistic it is.)
Consume books, audio books or podcasts regarding the abundance mindset for at least 1 hour everyday to ‘absorb’ the energy of possibility and abundance
Immerse themselves in the feelings of pure gratitude for a few minutes everyday. Fun fact: The frequency of gratitude has the same frequency as abundance.
I have an 8-minute video on how to get into the frequency of money HERE.
My last thoughts on coaching your clients to have an abundance mentality…
It is best to suggest abundance mindset exercises which suit your clients’ temperaments. If your client has difficulty sticking to a habit for 21 days, some of the activities I suggested may not suit them.
Work together to create an abundance exercise or habit which makes your clients feel the feeling of relaxed receptivity.
We also have to note that changing mindsets requires months and sometimes, years. They may not get a raise in income suddenly, but they may notice incremental increases as the months pass. Some of them may also obtain abundance through other people : for example, through their spouses or parents.
It is also wonderful to expand our definition of abundance and include elements which create a rich and meaningful life. This includes: good health, trusted friends, understanding family members, helpful colleagues, good food etc.
If you want a full set of abundance worksheets to use with your clients, you may find my Abundance Mindset Workbook helpful.
If you want to get an abundance mindset coaching tool for free to use with your clients, you can get one sent to your inbox.
May you be blessed.

How to write Highly-Engaging Social Media Captions for Life Coaches + 5 Free High-Converting Social Media Captions examples
It’s TOUGH to conjure up life coach content ideas everyday! I created these 5 social media captions examples (for life coaches) which you can download ABSOLUTELY free. Digital marketing for life coaches need not be hard! With these 5 free LIFE-CHANGING social media captions, you can stand out amongst the thousands of life coaches on social media. Oh, and if you want to snag more coaching tools to grow your coaching business, head over to my website! | social media marketing, life coaching tools, life coaching worksheets, coaching business, coaching questions, coaching skills |
Today, I will share 4 ways to be an ‘authority’ and build trust with your followers on social media.
Engagement is great because you will be seen as an authority in life coaching. Building trust is also important because it’s the basis of getting more sales and coaching clients.
That’s why I created 50 high-converting captions specially tailored for coaches to skyrocket your engagement and blow up your list of subscribers.
You can have 5 of these high-converting captions for free below:
So, back to the topic on hand: How do we build trust and build authority on social media?
Strategy #1: Your writing has to spark an emotion
When your followers read your posts, they HAVE to feel something.
Decide whether you want them to feel
Empowered
Inspired
Motivated
Understood
Hopeful
(Insert another emotion)
Then, craft your caption to evoke the emotion you want them to feel.
If you can make them feel understood and increase their feelings of self-worth, you are on the right track!
If you want 5 high-converting social media captions to boost self-worth in your followers AND boost your engagement, click below:
Strategy #2: Being sincere and genuine about wanting to help your followers
It’s easy to get wrapped up in our to-do lists, making sure our social media posts tick the right boxes and stressing about choosing the ‘right’ content to post.
It’s good to remind yourself why you started this life coaching business in the first place!
When you write a caption, a blog post or anything at all, be genuine about it. If you are not feeling it that day, postpone writing to another day when you feel inspired to create a change in your followers.
Being genuine is important because all of us can see when someone is authentic on social media versus someone who is merely pretending to care.
I have to say that being genuine means you have to show a little vulnerability at times.
This means, if you feel upset, you mention it in your writing. If you feel happy, you acknowledge it. Showing this ‘real’ side of you makes you more likeable.
You may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s fine! The people who can relate to you will gravitate towards you. These people who can vibe with you are the ones you want as clients and customers!
If you want 5 genuine high-converting captions to use on IG and Facebook, get them for free below:
Strategy #3: Be conversational and keep it simple when writing!
Write as though you are speaking to your followers.
This is more relatable than writing something in perfect English!
It’s also more fun to read than reading walls of text with jargon and complicated concepts.
Write in such a way that even a 12-year-old can understand your concept. I’m not saying that you will have to write in a child-like way. Not at all!
What I mean is, to make a complicated concept easy for any Tom, Dick and Harry to understand.
Give examples. Share your experiences. Tell stories.
These are some ways to make a concept easy for your followers to digest.
Strategy #4: The fastest way to build authority is…
The best way to build authority is to create videos - on IG Stories, IGTV, Facebook, YouTube.
You can record a 3-5 minute video everyday and post them on your social media platforms. Your videos should show your expertise in coaching. Focus on one topic or concept per video :)
This is perfect for those who can speak spontaneously and are comfortable in front of the camera.
If you are not, don’t sweat it! You can choose other platforms such as writing blog posts or recording your voice instead of recording videos.
I personally still recommend creating videos (with you speaking to the camera) because videos allow people to trust you fast!
My last words on building authority and building trust on social media…
Well, if you want 5 high-engagement social media captions examples so that you can be seen as an expert on life coaching, just fill up your details below!
Pro tip: You don’t have to post these high-converting long-form captions everyday. Just once every couple of days is also fine - each of these long-form captions can be seen as a treat for your followers.
