How to use a Gratitude Log Coaching Tool for Positive Thinking Effectively
If you have clients or prospects who are prone to negative thinking, this gratitude exercise can help.
Gratitude is crucial because nothing makes you feel more free + happy than being thankful for what you have right here right now.
Feeling gratitude can be the first step to a positive mindset.
Gratitude is about feeling thankful for both the small + big things in your life.
The key is to encourage your client to feel sincerely thankful. Not to say ‘thanks for the sunlight’, ‘thanks for the roof over my head’ and feeling...empty.
With my FREE and BRANDABLE Gratitude Log, your client can pen down anything which makes her feel grateful + expansive for 31 days.
This is what the Free + Brandable Gratitude Log coaching tool looks like:
It’s part of my Positive Mindset Journal which is 100% done for you and ready for use with clients or sell to your followers.
You can download the FREE and EDITABLE 31-day Gratitude Log below!
Examples of Gratitude Log Activities for Coaching Clients
If your client does not have ideas on what to be grateful for, these are some examples:
Getting to enjoy her favourite meal that day
Meeting high-vibe friends who make her feel joyful
Listening to her favourite playlist
Having an uneventful and smooth sailing day at work
Being productive and feeling accomplished
Having kids who behave well that day
Being able to cook something delicious and wholesome
You get the idea!
Sincere gratitude is key.
If your client is in a bad space - and feeling grateful seems impossible - suggest to her to do ‘high-vibe’ activities.
Everyone’s ‘high-vibe’ list is different but these activities work for many of us:
cooking or baking
decluttering
Favourite music
exercising (yoga, HIIT - whichever suits her needs that day)
Doing something artistic (dance, doing makeup, drawing)
guided meditation (choose from the thousands available on YouTube!)
Doing something spontaneous and fun
ANY activity which lifts her mood and clears her negative outlook will work.
Once she is in a better head space, it’s easier to pinpoint the small things to be thankful for.
Do THIS to be Consistently Grateful for 31 Days
Practising gratitude for 31 days will train your client’s mind to look for positive things every single day. Even during difficult days.
But what if there is nothing positive that day?
Well, create something to look forward to!
Schedule for lunch at a nice place. Chat with a friend. Suggest for them to be intentional with planning pleasurable activities.
For this 31-day gratitude exercise, don’t skip days!
If being grateful feels like carving blood from a stone - we all have those days - CREATE something to feel happy and grateful about.
How does Gratitude Pave Way for Positive Thinking?
If you focus on the good things you have, you will train your mind to look at life with a ‘glass half-full’ approach. This applies to clients too.
You can’t feel fear, anxiety and feel gratitude at the same time.
And when your clients feel expansive + grateful, they will attract more wealth and goodness in their lives (but this is a topic for another time).
Feeling gratitude is the first step to having a positive mindset.
You can start this by encouraging your clients / prospects to pen down their gratitude list everyday for 31 days.
Remember to download the free 31-day Gratitude Log worksheet which you can edit in Canva - before I change my mind about offering it for free!
Till next time, take care.

Today, I will share 4 ways to be an ‘authority’ and build trust with your followers on social media.
Engagement is great because you will be seen as an authority in life coaching. Building trust is also important because it’s the basis of getting more sales and coaching clients.
That’s why I created 50 high-converting captions specially tailored for coaches to skyrocket your engagement and blow up your list of subscribers.
You can have 5 of these high-converting captions for free below:
So, back to the topic on hand: How do we build trust and build authority on social media?
Strategy #1: Your writing has to spark an emotion
When your followers read your posts, they HAVE to feel something.
Decide whether you want them to feel
Empowered
Inspired
Motivated
Understood
Hopeful
(Insert another emotion)
Then, craft your caption to evoke the emotion you want them to feel.
If you can make them feel understood and increase their feelings of self-worth, you are on the right track!
If you want 5 high-converting social media captions to boost self-worth in your followers AND boost your engagement, click below:
Strategy #2: Being sincere and genuine about wanting to help your followers
It’s easy to get wrapped up in our to-do lists, making sure our social media posts tick the right boxes and stressing about choosing the ‘right’ content to post.
It’s good to remind yourself why you started this life coaching business in the first place!
When you write a caption, a blog post or anything at all, be genuine about it. If you are not feeling it that day, postpone writing to another day when you feel inspired to create a change in your followers.
Being genuine is important because all of us can see when someone is authentic on social media versus someone who is merely pretending to care.
I have to say that being genuine means you have to show a little vulnerability at times.
This means, if you feel upset, you mention it in your writing. If you feel happy, you acknowledge it. Showing this ‘real’ side of you makes you more likeable.
You may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s fine! The people who can relate to you will gravitate towards you. These people who can vibe with you are the ones you want as clients and customers!
If you want 5 genuine high-converting captions to use on IG and Facebook, get them for free below:
Strategy #3: Be conversational and keep it simple when writing!
Write as though you are speaking to your followers.
This is more relatable than writing something in perfect English!
It’s also more fun to read than reading walls of text with jargon and complicated concepts.
Write in such a way that even a 12-year-old can understand your concept. I’m not saying that you will have to write in a child-like way. Not at all!
What I mean is, to make a complicated concept easy for any Tom, Dick and Harry to understand.
Give examples. Share your experiences. Tell stories.
These are some ways to make a concept easy for your followers to digest.
Strategy #4: The fastest way to build authority is…
The best way to build authority is to create videos - on IG Stories, IGTV, Facebook, YouTube.
You can record a 3-5 minute video everyday and post them on your social media platforms. Your videos should show your expertise in coaching. Focus on one topic or concept per video :)
This is perfect for those who can speak spontaneously and are comfortable in front of the camera.
If you are not, don’t sweat it! You can choose other platforms such as writing blog posts or recording your voice instead of recording videos.
I personally still recommend creating videos (with you speaking to the camera) because videos allow people to trust you fast!
My last words on building authority and building trust on social media…

How to coach Clients to set Healthy Boundaries + PDF Worksheet for ‘Healthy Boundaries’ Mindset Shift
Free Life Coaching Tool! I’ve created a ‘set healthy boundaries’ worksheet to help your clients set healthy, self-caring boundaries today. This boundaries exploration worksheet will shift your client’s mindset into being comfortable with setting boundaries for self-care reasons. This free set healthy boundaries worksheet is also brandable in Canva!
Want to help your clients & followers with boundary issues? If you are stuck on that aspect, I’ve created a free setting healthy boundaries worksheet which you can use with your clients (download below!). They will experience a mindset shift which will help them see the benefits of setting healthy, self-caring boundaries.
Why do we need Healthy Boundaries?
Everyone can benefit from setting healthy boundaries. However, the reason your client needs to set healthy boundaries is going to be different from person to person.
For example, do they find themselves over-committing to things because they can’t say ‘no’ to?
Or is it something along the lines of allowing people to affect their mental health?
Not setting healthy boundaries can cause stress, resentment, unfulfilled goals, frustration…the list goes on.
Talk to your client about what EXACTLY they will gain from setting healthy boundaries.
If you are stuck with helping your clients pinpoint the BENEFITS of setting healthy boundaries, you can use my free mindset tool to help them set healthy, self-caring boundaries (below):
Once your client can see why they need to set healthy boundaries (and the benefits they will get from setting them!) they will feel motivated with actually setting those boundaries.
If you need a brandable Set Healthy Boundaries Guide to send to your clients or sell in your online shop, you can get your copy here :)
Pinpoint your client’s ‘Ideal Situation’
Because “healthy boundaries” look different for everyone, you have to work through what the ideal situation would be for your client.
If the ideal situation is to be able to say ‘No’ to that colleague who is always taking advantage of your client’s nice nature, how can your client achieve that?
What boundaries (and how) does your client need to set to get to that ideal situation?
If you need inspiration on 5 ways to set healthy relationship boundaries, this blog post will help!
Also, setting healthy boundaries can encompass changing our own habits.
Maybe your client is struggling with comparing herself to others because she spends too much time on social media. She then needs to set a boundary around the use of social media.
Coach them in identifying how they want to feel (or not feel!) and how they can get there through boundary setting.
Discuss what to do to enforce Boundaries
The hardest part about setting healthy boundaries isn’t about deciding or setting the boundaries themselves.
Most people can quickly figure out what boundaries they need to set.
The hardest part for many people is dealing with the people in their lives around those ‘new’ boundaries.
(No one wants to make people they care about, feel bad or uncomfortable. Nor do they want to confront their loved ones or hurt their relationships.)
Help your clients by laying out exactly what to do, or how to handle tricky situations which will arise when new boundaries are set.
This will empower them to have the tools ready when sticky situations happen so that they can remain strong and feel confident when their boundaries are tested (which will happen over and over again until the people in your client’s life get used to her new boundaries).
Help your Client understand his or her Right for having Boundaries!
At first glance, boundaries can seem selfish especially when it comes to dealing with other people.
For people who have trouble setting boundaries, they may feel that they should just continue to allow others to act a certain way towards them.
It can take a lot of work to get to a place where your client understands their right to have boundaries. Reassurance that they have every right to set healthy boundaries (and helping them go over the benefits of boundaries) can help them re-frame their mindset.
